Beekeeping for Beginners

This class is designed to stimulate interest and answer the questions of those interested in starting beekeeping as a hobby, to help pollinate their crops, or generally learn more about the honeybee industry.  It covers how and where to locate bees’ hives, where to buy them, what it costs, and how to care for bees so they survive the winter.  Taught by Peter Cowin.  To register call 487-5107 or email  or register online at

Cardio Combo

Group fitness classes for all fitness levels combining cardio and strength training.

Community Academy (formerly Learning Lab)


Achieve additional academic knowedge and skills required to pursue a full range of career, secondary and post-secondary opportunities.  This course helps students prepare for and complete required training, education, and certification necessary for employment. Instruction emphasizes language arts and math skills.  If you are preparing to take the high school equivalency test (HiSET), working on a traditional high school diploma, or studying to improve CASAS scores, this class is for you.

Substitute Teaching Class

This program is designed to prepare people interested in serving as a substitute teacher or ed. tech.  There will be plenty of "hands on learning" that will include important classroom management techniques and teaching strategies.  Legal aspects will also be covered, and you will develop your "sub pack" of resources and an action plan.

This class will be followed on Tueaday, April 7, 2019 by a class for Suicide Awareness and Prevention Workshop.
