Introduction to Photography
with Arend Thibodeau
What is the rule of thirds? Why are my images boring? Why does my friend take the same picture as I do and her picture looks better? Bring your camera to class and learn how to make a great image rather than simply take a photograph. We will focus on what constitutes a great image and how to think about composition, lighting and subject matter. We will sort through all the technical jargon like ISO, shutter speed and aperture to make you a more confidant photographer who understands that manual settings on a camera can unleash a new and exciting world of creativity. During this course we will also discuss editing images, finding your own photographic niche and seeing photographically. Learn how to take photography to a new level and leave behind the program or auto mode on your camera.
